How does the game engine know what to apply MF to? Are the items enumerated?

Nope. It just applies to the drop chance of 1/1000 and 1/10000.

It's funny that this thread has gotten action because I ended up going in a totally different direction with Sala Vol Ley. After obtaining the RoLS (not one, but two) I figured Magic Find wasn't all that important for skill points. I looked carefully at my options and realized that if I wanted to best grind... the caves with all the ghosts would be optimal. They come to me...

Suffice it to say, I opted for HH + WA = Clv.... which affords me DAM + ATT, and extra AP upon kills. I managed to level all three to 2 points each... and I am currently running the Green Maze for the third time to see how well this plan actually works out. I assume that if I get my damage up sufficiently, I can be surrounded by Hirathil and in one turn wipe them all out.

Of course... I could be ghost toast just as easily... we'll see.

Idk my mf is at 66 but im also level 475 (my goal is 714) i may just keep adding points to mf there isnt much left for me to put the points in that makes a difference.

The only way that is possible is that you are playing one of the alpha builds that were posted to the forums. In 0.7.1 the maximum level you can reach is 400, because the formula for calculating level from XP does not work past that. I changed the way the calculation works for 0.7.2 so that the limit is increased to 489. Beyond that, the math still fails, and it would be a lot more work to extend it further.

So, once again, Savegames from alpha or beta builds of the game cannot be loaded into a release version of the game on Google Play!. Test versions of the game are usable only for testing. Don't invest a lot of time in building your character in test versions.

Ah ok so my three level 400 is maxed. No biggie and yes i know not to overwrite my saves. My mf is still at 66

I noticed when playing with the xp if you did go fast on v0.7.1 it goes negative then levels out at a fixed number but still the game is fun

Ist the formula for calculating the XP for wach Level somewhere in the Forum. Ich didnt manage to find them Up to now.

XP needed to go from one level to the next is 55*(Current Level)^2. So for example to go from 3 to 4 requires 495 XP. Total XP required to get to level 4 is 55+220+495=770.
