In a Facebook group I frequent the question was posed: Tell us one odd fact about yourself. This was my response.

WS: Here's a fun fact: I am the UNLUCKIEST Video Game player in history.

I played Diablo 2 for five years --- NEVER ONCE got a Stone of Jordan (SoJ) drop.

I played Guild Wars for SEVEN years --- NEVER ONCE got a single Ecto drop.

I have played Andor's Trail for the last 4 years --- NEVER ONCE got a single one of the uber-rare 1/10,000 chance drops.

It took me 5 years playing Minecraft.... before I ever visited "The End" to fight the Ender Dragon. How pathetic is that?

Seriously... not making any of this up... unluckiest game player you've ever met.

I think you luck has changed! congrats.

Maybe so, but probably not. Bought 40 Star Seeker chests in Armello this weekend and got nothing for it. My friend bought an equal amount and ended up with two rares and a legendary. He likes to rub it in that his luck is better than mine.

I leveled up to 40, picked up Blade of the Defiler and now I am back to farming shadow Priests for the healing potions they drop. If I pick up a second ring...... I'll consider my luck to have changed.

Ok, now I have to concede..... I just got a second one and I wasn't trying for it!

I am at relatively low numbers too.... 737 Shadow trainers, 507 Shadow Masters and only 38 more rocks from my last count. 3 points into magic find really must do a great job.....


For the record, this character hasn't used a single bone meal potion.... I have been relying on bread and healing potion drops. I was actually farming simply to put my healing potions back to a comfortable 250 before I attempt the run to Regard.

Yes!! Positivity is half of luck, the other half is consistency!
