With the new version, this map doesn't feel right anymore

With the introduction of the cobblestone/rock steps (a path through it quest) to cross small bodies of water,
the map below just doesn't feel right anymore.

There is no way that this water (being so close to the lake, yet not connected) would be deep enough to warrant the need for a bridge. I love the idea of replacing it with rock steps. Seems more premitive and natural than a cement bridge.

I think it's consistent with the other bridges. Someone built a series of nine bridges around the lake to get to Remgard. The one you are looking at is just one of those nine. Without the other eight I would agree with you, but I can easily believe that whoever built those other eight would not leave one water crossing with nothing more than stepping stones. Maybe a wooden bridge would be a believable compromise.

Fair enough. A wooden bridge feels better than the current cement one does.
