Once it was introduced, I began analyzing my current characters to figure out which one was the necklace the best fit for. I have a character wielding the Great Axe of Shattered Hope, and using the Marrowtaint with no Combat Speed. So he was 5/10 AP. This was the only problem. I needed the 2 levels of CS to get to 6/12. Well after getting to level 48, I've gained those 2 levels of CS. He already had Regeneration 3 and Corpse Eater 2. Both of which work very well with the NoU.

Yeah. With Re3 you still effectively get Re1-2, plus all those HP bonuses in a fight, which is when you need them most.

I used it quite a bit with my last build. His primary focuses were two-handed weapons, damage and criticals.
Getting the two points in CS helped a lot to free up the necklace slot from the JoF which i used almost exclusively for this necklace.
I didn't brother with any other regen abilities, which was rather tough at the beginning, but after getting that second CS point the necklace of the undead had me covered for all but the most challenging areas.
