Unarmed Fighting...are you doing it?

This is the one style that I've never tried. So I'm wondering if you are doing it or if you've tried it? If so, What did you like about it? What didn't you like about it? What changes would you recommend?

IMO all weapons with more than 4 AP attack time (the unarmed attack time) are junk.
  1. The damage bonus helps fast weapons more.
  2. With 4 AP attack you can hit and run from the beginning, which means you are like 2.5x sturdier than when letting the enemy hit you.
Since you cannot obtain them early in the game, that means going unarmed until you can get, for example, Venomous Dagger. It's strictly (if slightly) better than unarmed. But the dash to Loneford allows you to kill the Snake Master quite soon after.

"Junk" is harsh, but I agree with your overall point and think that this can be resolved.

I completely agree with you.

What skills would a monk possess?

Cleave? Regeneration? Evasion?

Something new?

Level 28 and I finally ditched the weapon.

I'll be stuck with the fine green hat for awhile.

Two more levels to get Combat Speed II.
Then I'll alternate between unarmed and unarmored

I am not only doing unarmed fighting but also doing no-increased-fortitude build

I also got the Valugha gears, and the Stoutford update surely makes unarmoured fighting stronger, because now there are Feline gears to use.

The good thing about unarmed fighting is that you can save skill points, as there are no such fighting style or specialisation for this.

Why Quick Learner? I mean, what skills do you need?
Evasion 4 for sure, especially when not taking any Increased Fortitude levels. With Valugha and Feline gears you can hit 3 times and still able to flee.
Increased Fortitude is the most common choice, get it if you want to, but hey, what is the point for lots of HP if you are doing hit-and-run strategy?
Bark Skin is good, that's 25 levels for 5 damage resistance, 75 block chance and 1 remaining skill point. Also these stats would sound like what a monk would possess.
I don't expect there would be any new skills in the future btw, that's why I took Quick Learner (buff Quick Learner please)

Enjoy the fun.

How about Cleave?

"I don't expect there would be any new skills in the future btw, that's why I took Quick Learner "

This is a game still in development. You should expect changes. Especially in the context of new skills

Why are you not using the Ring of the Protector?

Here is my latest monk build. Everything is done except the Graveyard and Iqhan Cave.

What's your equipped gear to make those stats?
