I still do have a 50-lives 'monk-prentice', but I didn't invest the time on him to try to get at least one RoLS. :?

And i'd be so glad of I can get a PD char to visit Feygard and Nor City (probably around versions 0.8 or 0.9, i guess?) :)

The affects of the Crimson Jellies has nothing to do with whether or not you are in PD mode.

Jellies are really dangerous creatures despite their small size and cute looks. They can paralyse the player completely within seconds.

For PD mode, I find increased fortitude, corpse eater and regeneration to be very critical to survival in this mode.

IF agreed.
Done it without corpse eater and regen. After greinding for a RolS, there are enough spare potions to heal up in or after fights

Regen is most useful when you find yourself wounded and stuck around monsters that are strong enough to take you out on half HP before you can escape, or can damage you faster than you can kill them for Corpse Eater to keep you alive. Just find a safe spot (that's usually nearby) and wait, do some damage, repeat until you can get past.

If you know the game really well and know when you're strong enough safely get through an area before you enter it, then, yes, you can skip Regen.

Otherwise your healing item consumption goes through the roof, as does your grinding time to buy/collect those items.

After losing a streak of PD heroes, I'm trying the intermediate levels with single save and limited lives, to see if I can get the hang of it - finding a build path and set of tactics that minimizes the deaths - before I go again without a net.
