Good post.. i ll try drop a RoLS ;D

Can anyone explain the purpose of extraordinary and legendary items? Do I need to keep them, and if yes then why? Can I sell them without breaking a quest chain?

There's no real purpose, nor are there any links between these items and the quests.
Some of them are good items, which you can use, others are useless.
The point is to give players something to do between releases, some reason to grind mobs.

Hi, is there a complete list of extraordinary items? The first message in this thread only lists:

Chaosreaper (ChaR), Gloves of life force (GoLF), Shadowfang (ShaF), Silk robe of Valugha (SRoV),
Valugha's shimmering hat (VSH), Wraith's massive claymore (WMC), Gem of warmth (GoW).

In my inventory I find a bunch of items that are listed as "extraordinary" which are not in the list:

Dagger of the Shadow priests
Shadowstalker
Shadow of the slayer
Woodcutter's feathered hat
Blade of the defiler
Wolfspack's animal hide
Irogotu's necklace
Stone Cuirass
Venomous Dagger
Vacor's boots of attack

Is there a difference in the items status between different versions of Andors Trail? Eg, the Gem of Warmth is not listed as extraordinary in my version of AT. My version is 0.7.1.

This thread only lists the extraordinary items that can only be obtained by rare (1 in 1000) drop chance. You are correct that there are others. You can work out the full list from here: http://andorstrail.irkalla.cz/0.7.0/itemlist.php

Legendary items are available only by very rare drop chance (1 in 10,000), and the list at the start of this thread is complete.

The GoW should be extraordinary. It's a bug that the tag is missing, which will be fixed in the next release.

Well, then I continue with some grinding to get these (as there is nothing else to do in AT until the new release comes out). Got Shadowfang this morning, now hunting for Chaosreaper...
