happy hunting..the chaosreaper can be a fun weapon, especially when dual wielded with something that has a high AC.

I thought about the Chaosreaper a lot. It is a solid weapon and unique in its equipment combo. I wish it wasnt overshadowed by faster weapons.

The time is (finally) approaching when we will deal with that ;)

I was thinking about these legendary items.

Edit: Considering these special items are so difficult to obtain, why not include one or two new items that would really be sought after, epic, truly extraordinary. Items that will make this game generate fame and be talked about, singling out the name Andors Trail, and replayed just to get them.

Because we don't want a lot of "must have" gear that's incredibly hard to get. They exist so that those who wish to collect such things can do so. Some are very useful, some are just interesting.

I think many will disagree with that line of thinking. "Must have" quest items in a game are at the heart of truly having fun in rpgs. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy...

A "must have" quest item is fine. In very limited quantities. A "must have" item with a drop chance of only 1 in 10,000 is not so desirable. Some extraordinary and legendary items that are available only by rare drop do have really good stats. Some don't. It's not desirable to make all the best items in the game only available this way.

Yeah. Mindless grinding must be a choice, not a build-killer.

I understand your reasons for balancing out the game. I discern the complicated technical aspects you all must consider. Just don't loose sight of the fun factor of the game. Keep in mind that legendary items like "Excalibur," or the "Hookshoot", for example brought fame and fun into the gaming experience. Andors Trail is a fun RPG game that many have grown to adore and love. I'm just saying that it needs something, a fun outstanding special item to be well known for in the game.

What am I? Chopped liver? JK LOL. Mark, we've a long chain of posts talking about extraordinary and legendary items in more than one thread. The Hookshot and Excalibur are only legendary because people talk about them a lot. Do you see where I'm going with this?
