how many kills did it take for RoLS

Just got mine 20 minutes ago. Been grinding for it for about a week or so. And you know what? The game glitched. When I equipped it, it also stayed persistent in my inventory. I swear I only had one ( didn't see the count of "2" in brackets). So, I equipped it again. Now I have two of them equipped!!! WOW! I certainly am not complaining, but, wow, unexpected.

Newish player but LURVE the game.
Now well into my 2nd day hunting this elusive little precious.
212 polished gems & 625 small rocks (gargoyles and trainers).
Lvl 46 - 2 points into magic finding.

I've read some interesting ideas about improving your chances of finding ROLS. Placing polished gems on the alter etc.
I know enough about probability to know that they're fundamentally pointless, but I would still like to hear anyone else's superstitious suggestions. Anything to help right?

I am currently standing on one foot wearing a sumo wrestling outfit while singing lady gaga. Hope this helps.....

Hello and welcome to the forums.
I am not superstitious and wish you could stop singing lady gaga
The most interesting technique seem to be using two save slots:
- go to the cave
- save on slot A & B
- clear the area and exit
- save on A
- load B
- clear the area and reload B, and repeat this step.
- 3 minutes later, load A, save on B
- back to step 3 until you get it.

someone somewhere in this forum have written that if you think you have killed more than 10000 monsters then before killing a monster of that kind save your game and kill and if you don't get what you are seeking then reload and try again and repeat this untill you get the thing. that's how I got my first RoLs after about 9000 kills 1600 rocks.

You have exactly as many chance of getting a RoLS on your first kill than you have on your 153489th.

Yeah these legendary items! Probably the most interesting thing in the game which is driving many AT players crazy.
I have already tried obtaining one but I gave up.
But I created a new save and just cheated me these items (not my main build!) I'm wasn't really happier afterwards.

I wish luck to everyone trying out this challenge though!

I finally got mine! After 7748 trainers ald 5558 masters.

Although I can't say anything about its usefulness yet I'm so happy to own it!

Definitely not going to grind for anything now, I think I gained 10 levels during grinding.
