Screen goes mostly black during fight

I think it's the android version as it only started happening to me today after updating to 4.3. I have a galaxy s4 if relevant

Eldar: If you do download the alpha version be sure to back up your save files first!

I'm getting this problem now too, but not on my nexus 4. Only on my Google nexus 5 running android 4.4, KitKat

@Tulkas: is this issue occurring on the Market version or the Alpha (V0.7.1a)?

Still getting this with Android 4.3

It's not only combat, I find it happens when eating food, in a cave.

When I get the +x buff, screen occasionally goes black. Also happens seemingly randomly during fights.
