System Clock Shift and Respawns Interaction

I don't know if someone already noticed this, but I searched the forum and couldn't find.

There's a exploitable bug that I used to grind RoLS (it's an offline game anyway, and I don't have all the time of the world to grind this), that is to advance the system clock in 4 minutes, so all the areas in the map get a full respawn. As said by Samuel,

You will gain many levels when searching for Legendary Items. So sooner or later you need to know the respawn rules to maximize the amount of monsters killed per minute.
Every monster on every map will respawn if you rest in a bed.
Every monster on a specific map will respawn if you didn't enter that map for 3 minutes.
Each 0.5 seconds there is a chance of 1% per respawn area to spawn a monster. This only affects the current map. There are no respawns when the player is in a menu or a fight. If a spawn area has reached its maximum number of monsters, no further monsters respawn in it. So stay on maps with many respawn areas.
Monsters could not spawn directly on players, other monsters, obstacles and "event objects". So keep away from small respawn areas.
Andor's Trail uses the system clock to calculate all time-related events. Going into Android Settings -> Date and Time, you can add 4 minutes into the system clock to make all areas (except the one you're in) have a full respawn.
This could be fixed if the game treated time related events by using an in-game clock, that isn't related to the system clock.

This has been noted before. For example:

I'm not sure I would really consider it a bug, at least, not one worth fixing. As you say, it's an offline game, so what is "cheating" anyway?
I agree with Nut that the fastest approach is probably to get your enemies set up around you, then save. Then it's just reload, kill them all, if no ring reload, kill them all, etc etc.

I'm aware of the reload tactic, I know it's faster. This clock advance tactic has some benefits, though:
- Easy gold farm;
- Exp farm;
- If you're curious to know how many monsters you needed to kill to get the legendary item, you can by just look at the counter of monsters of that kind killed.

I'm well aware of that. I actually used this technique for a while in my second month of grinding for a RoLS.
My opinion is that it is enough trouble for the player to consider it a valid grinding option.
