Removable constant effect bug

Okay so I was trying something and somehow removed the Clumsiness effect from those gears

How to trigger this bug:
1. Equip Feline gloves and/or shoes and gain Clumsiness
2. Drink the Potion of deftness from Blornvale until you get Clumsiness x2
3. Wait for 2 rounds
4. The Clumsiness effect is now gone

Yes, the Clumsiness effect is removed for good.... not really, you can get it back by re-equipping those gears, and that's the only way you can get it back, not by resting, reloading, nor restarting, not even by dying

How it work is that you apply a higher stack of the effect and overwrite the constant effect since it has a lower stack, and then you just wait until it's gone

So we all misjudged Blornvale :Kappa:

Nah it's a bug after all, he and his potions still totally suck

Very nice find. Changing your equipment, whatever piece it is, should reapply the clumsiness. You'll have to pay one portion of deftness every time you change gear.

Currently you reapply Clumsiness only when you re-equip Feline gloves and/or shoes and nope you should reapply Clumsiness right after the potion effect ends, not when changing your equipment

You should not be able to get rid of constant effect by using potions no matter how

I didn't mean it wasn't a bug. We'll fix this of course.

Stats given by all equipped items are recalculated every time you (un)equip something, thus my reply, but I was wrong because this is not the case for actor conditions.

Enjoy your unclumsified cat while you can!

Why only didn't you find out earlier? Or why only had I made Blornvale go away :(

I hope it will become an easter egg or a secret feature

I am doing just that. But it's kind of ironic that my character is named after my late cat who was clumsy.

This is no different than using the using
the Potion of dexterity on Olwyn's Curse to remove it's minor weapon feebleness. Given that the dexterity potion specifically states, "Removes all Minor weapon feebleness (0 rounds)" it implies that it should do what it says. We also see this same debuff effect removal while using Olwyn's Curse from the Allacephs in the cave outside Brimhaven.
This actually clues us into how the game mechanics for potions and on-equipped based de-buffs seem to work in game, and makes these items risky and undesirable for some to want to take off. This is basically a "curse of desire" for these kind of objects, which I personally think is brilliant, and with regards to the Feline gear there is also a major dilemma that eventually occurs.
After visiting Remgard, if one does the quest that replaces Blornvale with Aryfora, then one also looses any future ability to "cleanse" the feline gear debuff.
I want to also point out that his Potion of deftness is the only one of his potions that has a 60% chance of giving us the effect that is actually beneficial. Given how often major moral dilemmas like this occur in the game I don't think this was an accident. Lets think about it. What two pieces are missing from the Blackwater set at this level? Gloves and feet, which conveniently are covered by the Feline set until
one has the ability to reach Remgard, which happens to also be around the same time we gain access to not only the Blackwater boots and gloves, but also the boots of the globetrotter. Both of which can profoundly alter what gear one uses in a given situation.
Basically the full Blackwater set becomes one of, if not the best full defense set, with the exception of the boots of the globetrotter and debate-ably the feline gloves, in game, and plays an almost mandatory role for most pure DPS builds who want to try the grave yard at a reasonable level.
Coincidence? I think not.

Oh, we haven't fixed this yet?
We will, thx  - but don't panic, not in the next release. (And who knows if we forget to do so again?)
