when you get the bandage for Fanamor but use it, the quest remains open and no way to end it

Fanamor dies if you use the bandage, and the quest ends after talking to Umar.

If you need healing , just open up your items and use it. I am playing another walk through. (One a week) and I wanted to see what happens

I failed to bring the bandage in time. Didn't complete the quest which unlocked the bonemeal potions. She died eventually and the quest ended normally after talking to Umar. Bandage was left in the inventory for use.
I don't know about using the bandage before talking to Umar has any effect onthe quest, which I will have to try.
