I would like to see these more viable. Easy example would be having points in pure blood would reduce the effects of blackwater misery. It would allow the more "over powered" items to have penalties like blackwater misery but to allow characters to use those skills to enhance those weapons by trading other favorable skills for the items and its always nice to reduce the effects of stronger monster abilities.

So been thinking more on this, how about instead of minimizing the penalties on weapons, the skill could give a small boost to weapons that give the abilities. I personally would like to see sword of shadows rage give minor berserker rage more often. If not increasing the chance how about increasing the rounds (makeing it last longer).

I agree that nobody seems to be taking these skills. Getting high block chance is effective against these disorders including getting hit less often... don't know if modifying these skills is the solution. I think that changing the weapons to have a modifier over base AD is better than modifying weapons, same thing should be thought out for effects like poison - maybe have another stat instead of having just one defensive statistic for many DPS-like effects.

I am still considering taking these skills though, I usually love maximum defense.

Great name, GiftofDeath! Nyktos just posted on another topic about skills getting more looks as the game gets developed further. So, my guess is that these skills might get modified. Keep these good ideas coming!

I am currently considering taking Pure Blood lvl 1 to make the Remgard path easier.

I think these skills would be much more useful/balanced if they had a -10% chance /or -1 damage/duration. As is they would only be useful with several levels in the skill.

Also, here's to finding this game a decade late 🍻

Don't waste your skill points on these. simply increasing your block chance reducces your chances of getting these actor conditions

These last two posts make a point - as currently defined, these 3 skills are poor choices, and therefore they should be upgraded. I like the idea of shortening duration, not just reducing chance - it could be worth at least playtesting.

I first tried the Remgard run around lvl 32. I think I could have made it, but would have been out of options and food. I am headed back now with more block and HP (chose Dodge, hadn't taken a level yet)

I also have Fallhaven jewel so can reduce the # of hits I take based on pure damage output.

Still, if pure blood were upgraded I would definitely consider it at this stage as a very useful skill.

Poison and bleeding wounds stack, right? I have gotten debuffs as high as 9dmg/x rounds. That's pretty deadly for most players.

Is there any poison antidote in game yet?
We have cure fatigue, bleeding wounds, a poison Potion would be nice. Gonna be annoyed if they are only available in Remgard ;)

(Or maybe after completing Dahlia quests?)

Huh, I must have missed that. Or decided it wasn't worth it because I'd only dealt with baby snakes in entry level area. I may have to go visit them again. Hopefully I don't catch the misery.
