modification for increased fortitude

I use the increased fortitude skill heavily (saving skill point to skill up as soon as posible) and with level 86 I have over 300 HP by spending only two level points for raising HP. At the moment I gain +6 HP on every new level and since I will spend another skill point on level 90 on increased fortitude skill I expect to have 410(!) HP on level 100!
That is imho too heavy and I suggest to apply the HP boni only when spending a level point to increase HP.
So even high level Chars have to watch their HPs and spend some level points on HP to survive the icqan caves... (from my point of view even with 0.6.11 the deadliest place around).

Good point, but IMO every character above level 50 are overpowered in challenges of 6.11 - i have seweral

There are seweral ways to build god like character; high ac+evasion, high DR+BR, High HP, etc

But gaining "shiva" type of character... Its a long way.. and you just got to overpower your character with too many levels :) Try to beat 6.11 under 30 levels, there are some challenge for you ;)

The perfect way to solve this is more areas for high level characters. Areas where the monsters levels are much higher and do massive damage.

I figure this will come along, as more maps, quests, and dialogue options are created. If you feel things are going to be too easy, use your imagination to create new high level quests, come up with new and more powerful monster ideas, etc.. ;)

The game evolves with help from people like yourself. ;)

 Hehehe already in the works. As new content comes out we are aiming for higher level players and creating new challanges. As the game progresses we are going to be very happy to have that little bit of extra HP when facing mighty foes.

If you think you have too many HP, stop taking increased fortitude! Much simpler than only applying it when you level up HP. Maybe IF should be capped at 2 or 3 to prevent people from getting so greedy and then complaining about it. It seems to me that your suggestion would force everyone to waste skill points and level-ups on HP because the skill only works occasionly, so you need a high level in it and then have to use level-ups to get it to work.
I have other uses for my skill points and my level-ups, thank you.

+1
I have suggested this in the past and I have instituted a self imposed 2 level max in IF in all my character builds.

If you guys want to cap yourselves at 2 that is fine, but i don't see why you want to force other players to have to do the same. I say it should stay as it is.

you will need the HP's trust me!

and eventually - with even more skills coming...
it will be hard to justify much more than IF2. (unless *)

i agree with all the I.F. 2 talk, as i have in the past...
no surprises there - but also consider this

capping I.F. will effect players who want higher Regen*

Yes, yes you will.

Did you get the pic i sent you a few days ago with a map? I have twists and turns on the mind, this may not end well for our lil adventurers.
