Andor's Trail

With the new update to Google+, I'd like to suggest using Google Events with Party mode instead of instead of Google Hangouts for public Andor's Trail events. As many (including myself it seems) have issues with Google Hangouts. After spending hours trying to get Hangouts to work, and the frustration of missing the last hangout, I was excited to see this new option.

As it is yet untried, I would suggest that it be given a trial run to see how it works, hoping that it will alleviate all problems caused by Google Hangouts. Hopefully those that missed the last hangout because of technical issues will no longer have that problem.

great suggestion! That may be a the best option we have available if Google hangouts is giving us troubles.

The thought was to embed the stream on a page with an ajax based chat below so people can follow the stream live as well as chat live with us and the rest of the users.

I'd like to be a part of it, but I am limited to my phone (laptop is out of commision.)

Yeah, he's got it all figured out. The Google Events is bogus and only allows posting of pics, not chat as I thought earlier. He almost has the stream tacked down and soon everyone should be able to attend public meetings soon.
