LE/EX Shield

Being fond of Sword and Shield (mainly because i practice the combat art, among others, myself), I would love to see a Legendary or an Extraordinary shield in the coming update! Or even a Rare would suffice!
I've noticed that all other equipment have R/E/L:s, but shields are left alone with just common items (sure, the Remgard shield can be upgraded, but it's not the same).

Has anyone got a good idea of what such a shield would look like? -Statwise!

Edit: Sorry, thought my previous expression would be accepted in the context. Changed it to something more suitable!

Actually, I've designed one.

Name: Mirror of Nightmares, or Mirrored Shield of Nightmares, or Shield of Dark Reflections:
AC -10%, BC 5%, AD -1, 40% chance of Fear x 3 on hit for 1 round.

Fear x 3 on the opponent effectively gives a boost of 15% to the players BC, 3 to the players DR, 30% to the players AC, and 3 to the players AD. These stats would probably have to be adjusted, depending on quite where in the game the shield could be found, and whether it was extraordinary or legendary. They give the general idea though.

Basic concept is that the shield shows a terrifying reflection to your opponent, with a decent chance of scaring it, but other than that, it's not a great shield.

Oh, nice! I would definitely grind for that one!
It's nice with other effects than solely stat-increasing. Makes things more interesting!
Though, since I'm going Sword & Shield, I wouldn't gain much benefit from the skill using that one... But it would be a nice one to have!

That's a good point. So perhaps AC -10%, BC 10%, AD -2, with 40% chance of fear x 2 for 1 round would be better. When Fear is active the shield would then effectively give you BC 20, AC 10, AD 0, DR 2. Of that BC 20, of course only BC 10 would be boosted by the Sword and Shield skills.

That would indeed be much better! I especially like the AC/AD-penalty for balance :)

Actually, a 40% chance of fear per hit is way too high. With multiple hits per turn, the chance per turn is excessive. A chance of 15% would be better. That would give a chance per turn of 15%, 28%, 39%, or 48% for 1, 2, 3, or 4 attacks per round, respectively. Possibly even 10%, depending on where in the game it might occur. I doubt it will ever see the light of day though, so perhaps the question is moot :|

Good point! But seeing as the effect simply nullified the shield's negative effects on character, I'd say that it should be no lower than 20-25%.
Had it been of greater magnitide, then it would have needed a lower percentage :)

How about a plain shield with 20 BC with no minuses?

All of the negatives on armor really makes no sense. Take Dungeons and Dragons or Runescape or any other rpg. Armor of any type shouldn't have disadvantages.

Armor, especially heavy armor, gives you serious disadvantages in D&D.. If you are wearing a bulky plate of metal on your chest, you can take some more hits, but you will be slower, lessening your chance to hit back.
