If we establish this as a viable idea, then I would waste NO time developing new maps, new quests, new NPC's, etc. Just export the existing game, crop it, and create a menu to direct player to whatever new missions s/he wants to try. Don't make it harder than it needs to be.
Seconded

No quest or fancy NPCs to create. Custom maps may be needed for some, and others would be derivative of existing ones.

As custom maps, for example, a monsterless maze that you have to exit as fast as possible. It would make little to no sense in the real game.

Honestly, as I see it, there's little work for the content of this one, and more work in the code.

As stated, it's just the embryo of an idea now, and it doesn't get the priority. Just wanted to share and get feedback/input about it.

Yes, but one that kept up to date on a daily basis.
