That's something I want to implement, but it'll wait v0.8.0.
Maybe not for this specific case, but I think there are used to this (get corroded when striking an acid slime).

Instead of a monster being unevadeable (is that a word?), I think you could make a map event that makes it so that, upon reaching the boss, an invisible force prevents you from retreating until that boss is dead. If I can ever get time to get Tiled up and running again, it would be an interesting test.

You have an example of this in the Stoutford alpha. The only caveat is when you die trying.

You wake up in a bed, lose some XP, and can try again. The usual stuff. I thought about a way to make a bed mandatory, but ultimately rejected the idea to avoid locking down players who may be too weak.

That is a great idea! There could be a lot of terrible things that we could inflict on our players using this idea...

I like the ideas being thrown around about making some bosses impossible (or difficult) to escape from once you start combat.

There goes my low level impatience tactic. :3 being a dual weapon, crit build... i just got to Lodor's. sigh... at the rate you're going, i will start thinking i am playing the Lion King... :O *suspicious eyes, are the dev team aiming for that?
