Remgard Bridge Quest

I know the way to Remgard is supposed to be long and hard, and that should definitely be so the first time, but I'm wondering whether a new quest could be introduced to build a bridge to the beach due South of Remgard. Perhaps a builder in Remgard who needs help to bring wood from the logging camp. Lots of trips later through the creature infested mountains, the bridge is built and travel time is halved.
Just a thought.

So, a shortcut home, like BWM or the Maze. Does every long hard path need a shortcut home?

Just logic really. There is a pretty short distance between Remgard and the southern shore of the lake. There would be a bridge or a ferry to make trade more efficient.
And whereas a hard slog to get somewhere new is a great challenge in a game like this, once you've hacked your way past plaguestriders, arulirs, manaroth beasts etc etc a dozen times in each direction to complete various quests, it just becomes nuisance factor after a while (No disrespect intended!)

Yeah I actually understand how you feel. I find it a nuisance as well traveling till there, I mean what is it, more than 30-40 maps to go across??, just to reach Remgard? It isn't even worth going till there if not for the (best) necklace. And that just an option as the fallhaven necklace makes the job pretty well.
And I thought that traveling to blackwater mountain was a pain  . Anyway, with the new update there is a small hint indicating that this idea is up in the air, at least it feels so.
the dude behind the observation tower. he just sells you potions and stuff, but he as well is frustrated about the long path..maybe...who knows...

I didn't want to make two separate posts but nevertheless. The path till Remgard isn't hard. If you decide to go there it's kinda the last thing you do, maybe before the maze...Of course it's up the everyone but after blackwater mountain one should really be aware of what long journeys implies  .
For example I went to Remgard around level 40 and I had no difficulties at all. I just felt exhausted to stride map after map, after map and map, only to arrive at Remgard to complete some missions, and then leave shortly after. Wouldn't some quests imply that you return to Remgard, it would be comparable to the blackwater settlement: a village you travel just once (for the missions and gears) and never after.
Maybe there should be more interaction in Remgard to make it feel more appetible, just a thought.

Right now, I think if you time things right, you can do all the quests with two round trips. That's not bad at all, to me. If you're just finding the quests one at a time, it can take several more the first time through.

Adding more quests with ties to Remgard could add value to the trip, to be sure. There's already been one tie in added recently, though a minor one. More could easily arise as the game develops.

I have lost count of the number of times I have hiked to Remgard and back, but that's because the material on the way or in Remgard has been added piecemeal in different releases. I think Tomcat is right that for a new game, you could do everything in two round trips.

I like the idea of the short cut quest.

Also: BWM trip is short and easy...
Remgard: Plaguestriders.... bah ;-)

Yeah to BWM it's easy, but I meant the mission
that requires you to go up and down towards the settlement. Just a nuisance after a while  . I would really love to have more of those teleportation stones 8-) .

Making a game easier often results in boredom.
