Sailing on Lake Laeroth/Rock climbing up Blackwater Mt

Hi,
I noticed that there are quite a few blank maps around Remgard, particularly Lake Laeroth.

Would it be possible to create a new quest, or something of that sort, that allows the character to sail a boat on the lake, maybe to get to an Island in the middle?
Sounds interesting.

Also, for this area around Blackwater Mountain:

Would it be possible to fill up some blank maps by incorporating some rock climbing, or something of that sort?

Just some suggestions.

Blackwater, mountain has a project in development right now. That's all I'll say about that.

Sailing to Remgard? We've heard many many requests for a shortcut to Remgard. Mostly a bridge. I'm not sure if this will happen anytime soon as the development team is focused on new content and bug fixes. We are not infatuated with the idea of a shortcut to Remgard, but we are not saying "no".

oh ok.
For the sailing, not necessarily a shortcut to Remgard, but could be a quest around Remgard.
Maybe a cave on an Island in the middle of the lake?
The boat dock/ramp could be at Remgard, meaning that one would have to reach Remgard first.

I am no artist, but here is a rough sketch:

The orange circle on the right side of the Island says 'cave.'
Apologies for the bad quality.

Sailing would be nice. You could have strong currents on the northern coast that prevent you from going straight to the coast.
Or Sirens, that you need to avoid.

Or the other way around. Hop into a boat up north, but be unable to dock south.

Both could be indicated by an NPC at the pier and text boxes and tile triggers used to prevent you from going to the shore (much like in the arulir cave).

IF you could be persuated to a short cut, there could be quests involved to change the currents or pass/get rid of the sirens, or both.

Perhaps, in case making water area and driving a boat is too complicated, it could work with text boxes and choices where you want to sail to (much like a teleport, but authentic and in line with the world). Destinations could be unlocked by quests and talking to the right NPCs and getting hints about places.

Thinking about it, this could be a very interesting and new type of experience for players in the world of Andor.

There are many maps already created for Lake Laeroth. It's just a question of time for when we get to them to finish things there.

A lot of pretty good ideas here.

Maybe if the sailing is too hard to implement, then what about adding a swimming skill, each increment increasing the distance that the character can swim?
If you run out halfway, then maybe you could faint, letting the current wash you up on a random river/lake bank?
Could also make a mermaid hideout with this skill, as there are mermaids in the river west of the woodcutter's hut.
