Thieves Guild's Quests

Right now, you can betray Thieves Guild by reporting Farrik's plan to Fallhaven's Warden, and still can receive Thieves Guild's quests through Omar (the 3 quests). I find that kind of odd that we can do that. I mean, I am working against them, yet I can still join them.

I propose the following change to the quest line.

The hero will see the choice to join the Thieves Guild through Omar ONLY AFTER helping Farrik to pull his associate off the jail. So Omar will say something like "Farrik told me that you can be an asset, so what's your plan with the guild?" or something similar. Then, the hero will get an option whether to join or think about it, or even declining maybe by saying like "I wouldn't want to be associated with the like of you", which will forever eliminate the possibility of joining Thieves Guild. In the last case, now the hero is in a precarious situation, he is hated by the guards and the thieves as well (to the shadow!).

If the hero decides to foil Farrik's plan, then s/he will never have the option to join the Thieves Guild. Maybe in the future, there will be quests given by the FHPD (Fallhaven Police Department or FHCG - Fallhaven City Guard) to crack the thieves guild's activities. Some quests ideas like now you are the Fayguard scout that catches the thieves collecting the ledgers from Leta/Dunla/Fanamor. And then you are protecting Ambelie Laumwill from being kidnapped, and you are the seargent leading the guards to capture/kill Crackshot for his crimes.

Nice idea!
On a lighter note, if one supports the Shadow as well, then one is a supporter of Feyguard working in the Shadow. 😂

Prohibiting players from joining the Thieves guild would lock them out of multiple quests. That would not be desirable.

There is also a lot of danger in changing things that players have already gone through. It is too easy to run into unintended consequences.

But... Isn't this a developing game? Which means it will go through growing pains, including some heroes needing to restart? Quests going through changes according to developing story lines?

Yes.

But very preferably no to that. A lot of people have put a lot of hours in to get to where they are, and while some may be willing to restart a lot would not, and we would just lose them as players. We do not want to do that.

I don't see it hard at all. I have not used any substance to heal and I can do all the quest by level 38-40 easily

We have done. The earlier stages in particular are much less of a grind than they were. Too easy is boring though, so there are limits.
