I disagree on this one. The quests involving Lodar and the maps in the green maze/Hirathil cave is the hardest ones out there at the moment. They are 100% doable and shouldn't make easier. There is a bed on the way to Lodar anyway right here.

Overall interesting topics. I think I should try and contribute to AT. The only thing I'm missing is the spare time. Maps would be fun to make, Ian, I will PM you.

thanks for meeting update....from the latest hard hit poll, it looks like this skill should be bumped a couple points at a minimum....either to 1-3 or 2-2, maybe even increase it to 2-3 dmg.

I agree with Oet, if there is a bed at lodars...

1: it will be way to easy to buy massive amounts of LBMP's

2: If you head to BWM from Lodar's and die before resting in a bed it will send you back wwaayyy to far. It's just as bad as getting stuck in Remgard.

Adding a bed in Lodar's cabin would result in the exact same predicament that so many players find themselves in as a result of resting in the abandoned cabin on Blackwater mountain....being trapped. I die and and and I'm back at Lodar's cabin. Damn, I can't get past the ghosts. The other difference being the access to healing potions. But what happens when you have exhausted all of your gold?...your trapped.

Hi there

this is my first post :)
thank you all for this great game!!

About the trap issue:
what about adding a "potion of homesickness"? <-- Bad name :D
It prevents you from getting trapped by setting the respawn to your home?
It wont be abused for fast-travelling because you have to die for it ;)
and if thats not enough add a time before it shows its effect (e.g. 5 minutes).
to be sure you have it when you need it its hidden at common "Trap-points" (e.g. Lodars)

sorry for my bad english
i will work on it ;)

Interesting to see so many presumptions regarding a "Resting place in Lodar’s house". What might have been discussed in the meeting that wasn't posted? Maybe the proposal of an opportunity to introduce something that the player can benefit from if used wisely, but serves as a setback for those who prefer to run and gun?

Let's imagine for a moment that hypothetically, this resting place was a trap. If that's what you believe it is, are you still going to proceed with using it?

Maybe I should be more concerned with this immediate and shared assumption that some have with getting to sleep in Lodar's bed? Who said bed? Should any of you wish to discuss your feelings more privately about this, feel free to send me a PM. I promise to be discrete. ;)

I agree with the statements about not having a bed at Lodar's place.

All the posts above make good points as to why it's a bad idea.

Fast travel by death
getting stuck
etc

I've been stuck in Lodar's area before, it can be hard to get out if you don't have the money to buy potions or are trying to not use BMPs on your game.
