Andor's Trail v0.7.2 released to Google Play

Fellow adventurers, it's been 5 years (cue David Bowie).
Well, not exactly 5 years yet, but I wanted that Bowie joke.

Andor's Trail v0.7.2 has been released on Google Play!
Give it a couple hours, or maybe even a few days, for it to propagate worldwide, but we finally unleashed the beast.

This version was really long in the making, and we jumped so many hurdles to get there: Oskar left, we built a new content editor, we changed our translation crowd-sourcing platform, we assembled a fresh team.

This release is thus rather ambitious, because we really wanted the long wait to be worth it.

I will edit this post later on with some more detailed changelog, thanks list, and content stats, but I'm way too excited now to hold off the release for a detailed post.

The game is also available from our server and hopefully will soon be from F-Droid.

I wanted to show some appreciation to this whole community, whose cheering and trust really helped us go through some difficult times. It is a privilege to be shown that much faith and love from everyone.

Thank you!

Wooohoo!!! This is amazing!

Thanks for all the hard work dev team. You guys have done a great job getting this update out. The game improvements are extraordinary and give us fans a lot to play with. I can't wait to get my main character out there chopping monsters and doing quests.

Thank you so very much for helping make this release possible everyone. I know 2.5 years is such a long time between releases but there wouldn't even be an update if it wasn't for all your hard work. I can't express in words how grateful I am that such creative and generous people took on this project to help make it bigger and better. All of your efforts are truly appreciated.

Nope. You just need to give Google some time to broadcast the new version to all its relays... I don't see it yet either.

Yeah. I see the same problem. The "Load" button is greyed out. How the heck did that happen?

I can't save a game either.

Edit: we know what the problem is. The permissions are not set correctly (it doesn't ask for any at all  ), so it can't read or write files. Sorry about that. We will fix it ASAP.

Edit again. This seems to only be a problem if you have been playing with the versions posted to these forums, or have never played AT before. If you have 0.7.1 installed, and upgrade via Google Play, it inherits the permissions and all is OK. If you install from nothing, you see the problem. As a temporary fix for those that just can't wait, here's the apk for 0.7.1: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mhf1gbm0sbmnk ... 1.apk?dl=0. Copy it to your device, uninstall AT, and install that. Then upgrade from Google Play.

Edit yet again. Forget the advice above. Just turn on storage in the app settings for permissions. See a few posts down.
