Working on some rough mock ups of the website, will post them for feedback in the next couple days.

I would like ideas on what content people want to see in the website.

That's an excellent idea and really something that potentially could add value for the players.

If I put on my "as a player"-hat, I think I would like to see the following things:
  • Encyclopedia of available shopitems
  • Encyclopedia of monsters
  • World map (depends on how far we have gotten on the graphical resources for it)
  • Some form of background or description of the villages and settlements.
  • Lore about the great cities Feygard and Nor City.
  • Highscore list?
  • Game FAQ ("how do I flee?", "how do I backup my save games to another device?", ...)
Though, I can image it would be a tough balance between revealing enough vs. too much as spoilers in having an encyclopedia that reveals either story, the world itself, or for example legendary items. I'm not sure we should add absolutely everything in it, since I believe some things should be left for the player to discover by herself. For example, some dungeons might not be marked on a worldmap (if we were to add one), to leave some room for the player to experience the thrill of exploration. Complete droplists with percentages should not be published.

In retrospect, adding this forum was absolutely the right thing to do, since it has allowed the players to gain even more depth and enjoyment out of the game. Making a usable website that could be a complement to this forum feels like the natural next step in that same direction. A website could absolutely be used to make the game even more enjoyable for the players.

Excellent initiative sdevaney! I'm all for it :)

I like your list.

It has the feel of a "wiki."

Although, unless you plan on allowing the game to update automatically (internet link) the highscore list will have to be manually updated.

Do you have a future vision of allowing the game to connect to the website?

Well it only took me two months to get this first draft done but that is the way things go sometimes.

Keep in mind I do not claim to be a web designer lol, so I went with the simplest cleanest look I could do with my limited expertise. There are plans to add more details, links, reviews, etc.

The phone image flips through the different screen shots that just happened to be the picture that was up when I took the screen capture.

All feedback is appreciated.

Thanks

I think I'm about ready to take on this challenge - as long as everybody will promise to be patient with me!

I will probably need some help, though - in particular, I'll want someone to do the graphics for the site.

Do we have someone running the facebook/twitter/myspace pages?

If needed I could help out with one.

Nothing yet, but it is in the works.
