new maps

Hello,

I'm almost ready with my maps for v.0.6.12. (These maps contain the road from the Crossroads Guardhouse to Foaming Flask Tavern, a labyrinth and a lost mine).

After that, I want to draw some new maps. It would be very nice if you gave me some suggestions what you want to have in AT. (For example a castle, special regions and so on).
Please notice that your suggestions should be realistic (sometimes it's really difficult to find the right tiles for a new pruoject) and fit into the world of AT.

First, I would like to say that your maps are really beautiful. Second, a castle sounds like a great idea! I am sure that a number of quests could get started from a castle.

Indeed your maps are amazing and very well polished. We appreciate all your hard work.

I think Carn Tower could be an interesting castle type place, not to mention there could be something worked in with Lord Geomyr and his castle.

I anyway want to build carntower and the surroundings so I'll draw Carn Tower as a castle.

What do you think about:

-A ruin in a desert which is partially filled with sand
-some canyons :arrow: you have to climb down a long way and then you can explore its bottom
-islands which could be reached by going over ice or by a ship (The idea of a ship was posted in a topic before: http://andorstrail.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... ship#p5120
...

If you have any suggestion what could be added into the world of AT, please write me.

First I need to say, Im currently in progress to build an statue of you. .. Something like the "Golden hero of mapmaker". You are awesome.
In future I like to see rebellions camp (agains Geomur and the Shadow). Somewhere in wild, maby in bacement of ruins or hidden part of the castle. Spiders, webs, traps, difficult route, dark areas, maby entrance can be found in catacomps or in graveyard

Great idea, Sarumar! I wouldn't have any idea like yours!
Maybe this hidden rebellion camp could be placed in a dense and dark forest or a jungle. Unfortunately, there aren'*t much tiles for a jungle. :(

Kudos, Ian. Your maps are very well designed and they flow gracefully from one landscape style to another. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeat job!

The maps are great! Your work is great! I just played my way to Remgard and back, and I especially liked that there are now dead ends and wrong turns, instead of just walking through a single winding path. I'd like to see some traps or ambushes. If you take the wrong turn, you suddenly find yourself surrounded by a pack of wolves or robbers. Or choices: One way is short but blocked by a few really high level enemies. The other is way longer but can be solved earlier. There should be a difficulty difference of 4 levels or so. That way, the long route is used as long as it is an exciting challenge. By the time the player gets bored by always having to go the long way, he should be powerful enough to take the shortcut.

Castles and fortresses sound great, but it will be tricky to build them without enemies that use ranged weapons.

Some ideas: A maze or a huge forest with several little places / dungeons. That's somehow included in the 0.6.11 release. I don't know whether I already figured out everything.

A room in a dungeon that has one enemy on every single tile. And all tiles are respawn areas.

By the way, are there updated world maps somewhere?
