Re: Translation in french
Hi LeSanglier,
Sounds great! You are very welcome to translate the game to French. It would be a welcome addition to add French to the list of languages that we support!
Yes, you can translate strings.xml, and the other files also if you want.
These files are the relevant files to translate:
http://code.google.com/p/andors-trail/s ... trings.xml
http://code.google.com/p/andors-trail/s ... stlist.xml
http://code.google.com/p/andors-trail/s ... emlist.xml
http://code.google.com/p/andors-trail/s ... onlist.xml
You can take a look at the Italian or Russian translations if you want examples of other translations. They can be found in the values-it and values-ru directories.
Either post the translated files as an attachment here or email them to me and I'll commit them when you are done.
Thanks in advance,
/Oskar

Sounds great! See above for guide on what files should be translated.shuu wrote:Hi all I would like to translate this (awesome ) game in french so where are the project is it aborted? or do you have some files translated ?
I would also suggest that you and LeSanglier cooridnate your work, so that you don't do overlapping work.
Looking forward to seeing the French translation be even more complete!

Re: Translation in french
Hello,
I made an update : http://ardenne-informatique.com/~nekrof ... trings.xml (translated from the strings.xml of the stable release 0.6.8)
and a new translation : http://ardenne-informatique.com/~nekrof ... emlist.xml (translated from the itemlist.xml of the stable release 0.6.8)
The 0.6.9 svn version files don't run with the 0.6.8

Re: Translation in french
Thanks again LeSanglier! This is now committed in r89.LeSanglier wrote:I made an update : http://ardenne-informatique.com/~nekrof ... trings.xml (translated from the strings.xml of the stable release 0.6.8)

The resource file format has changed from v0.6.8 to v0.6.9 since we updated the editors and added "actor conditions". If you want to test with v0.6.9, I would suggest you download the source code for v0.6.9 and test on that.LeSanglier wrote:The 0.6.9 svn version files don't run with the 0.6.8
Your translation loooks great, good work!
