Bienvenue. Any help would be welcome. I'm the only one working on it (slowly) right now as far as I can tell. Let me know when you have access to weblate so we can work together.

For those that are relatively simple to translate, I think we should. For those that were already done we should definitely continue. For all others I've left them as is... Mostly people's names.

Once all the strings are translated, we can do a name pass and replace those that are difficult to read or pronounce in French.

I recommend reading http://www.leveluptranslation.com/blog

They have good advice for developers wanting to localize their game.

Regarding names of characters and cities, they generally recommend to let the translator decide on a case by case basis, as some names may be impossible to read (many Japanese people can't read our alphabet), pronounce, or lose useful meaning in the target language.

I'd say try to keep the original name, eventually adapting it for readability and pronunciation, and translate it fully when the meaning seems important, like in the Marrowtaint debate we had a while back.

Vilegard and Feygard, I translated the meaning of one -> 'Vile' and translated by sound the other b/c there is no such word as 'Fey'. Is that fine?

It's not common, but it exists: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/fey
