Shouldn't it provide a damage modifier as well? At high levels it feels so inferior to other styles.

I don`t think so.
Bare handed has 4AP. Most 4 AP weapons have a modifier if 100%, give or take a bit. Therefore it is in line with weapons of the same speed

Yes, the best damage modifier of an 4AP weapon is barbed dagger (107%) so no modifier for the mpnk seems ok to me

The DM will never vary much from 100% for a 4AP weapon, because it was used as the baseline in the calculations for DM. It only varies from 100% at all because I added a little variation to make in interesting.

The way of the Monk.

Is there anyway you could start a quest of Sorts to get it earlier. Like in Crossglen. And maybe get it enhanced at Charwood? To start off barehanded isn't easy at all. And to wait until Charwood is a long time

I put this in a wrong spot thank you for fixing it

Again it should start in Crossglen. The priest asks you to do certain things. Just like you can't have a sword when returning to a certain quest while equipped. But with this, there is a basement and the priest strips you over all items. I want to try the Monk out, but it's hard to do it when you first start.

You are correct. And it's not worth going unarmed until you get the skill from Charwood. But that's okay because you're not missing out on anything having to wait this long. It's a little different than the unarmored skill which you can get before charwood, because you have items you can use before Charwood.

I think it's fine the way it is. The unarmed skill might be OP if available in the beginning of the game as 20 AC is a huge gain.

That's true. But what if "younger son doesn't want
a weapon. He wants to do it with out. It can be a quest that do it and start the quest, or it fades and picks up just as a skill later. Either way you get the skill or a bonus on it

Recently suggested in another thread that it would be cool if you could chose your fighting style when starting a new game, granting you the first point in:

WotM
Dual Wield
Weapon and Shield

That way it is all accessable earlier and you are inclined to start out fights in a certain way, while not limiting your options later

I think that's too restrictive. New players will have no idea which one to choose, and may be disappointed later.
