classes with perks

Post by Zanphix »

I like the idea the one member is doing with the Theif and fighter. I hope they can expand further from there. Possibly a Ranger with weapons like a bow or crossbow. I think building a character with classes that give them bonus in certain weapons and skills would make the character more personal to the user. A Ranger with an added attack base with a bow than a normal fighter would have. The fighter having sword bonus where the Ranger or Thief wouldn't. From there the developers could possibly go into magic with a Cleric class and magic-user or wizard.

I think ranged weapons would definitely change the game tremendously for classes. Just a thought.

Totally agree with this and also mentioned it one of my own idea topics. I also mentioned that there should be guilds corresponding to each type with loads of quests in each and bonuses that relate to the character in the same way you have mentioned. A tough decision would ne whether to allow access to all guilds or just one. Ie warrior selects fighters guild. In morrowind you can enter them a but have to choose one great house. That system is good. Trouble is I heard Oskar say he is pro the idea of not being able to be good at everything and choosing what you want to specialise in and morrowind let's you become a beast at them all lol

They are adding "skills" to the next update. They will be based on experience points and I think can be added to experience already gained. If you do a search, you will find a couple threads about this already.
Ha Ha, Made you look.
