Robgon, I don't understand this. This thread is a place to tell the story of your username. Why you use it? What it means?...etc

Sorry, mrspowerplant had mentioned those that may need to get in shape, I neglected to add her quote, sorry.
And as far as the username, mine is from a D&D character I started in 1982, Robgon Gor.

Actually this name just came to my mind when I had to choose a name foor a Troll I played on a LotGD site. The other problm was that on several forums/sites/whatever I wanted to register myself my old online name ("Testdummy") was already taken.

his never happened with Mezgad. (And i got a feeling that I am the only one who knows how to proounce it)

Simple name Spark is short from Sparacosa Ikopoltary - quite the contrary to the thread in my case. :)

I always wonder how writers or screenwriters create names for their characters which suppose to be outside of common civilization, Like Star Wars for example.
When I created this neme I tested myself If I can create a name which don't consists from other existing words, changed existing words, part of words nor sounds like something familiar. But something alien. At first this name was created for illithid mage.

Many years ago when i got My first computer i was going on aol and needed a name. My last name at the time was Jackson. Aol picked jack and a bunch of numbers. I went online with that name and soon found chat rooms. When asked i would say i am female. People thought i was a dude saying i was a girl because of my name. So i had to come up with a girly name. I picked one with pearl in it and have derived from that. I used missypearls in tibia that i played for years.

Not the most unique username, but believe it or not, mine came from work experience and attempting to step into the role of Andor's father:

-As a past teacher, I came across some amazing, beautiful, disturbing and crazy names (sometimes all at once);
-Mikhail obviously doesn't keep good track of his children (Andor must have been gone quite a while to be so far ahead of his brother);
-Andor's brother felt it would be better that he, as a young (age?) kid, would be better suited to finding Andor than his father; and
-Mikhail doesn't seem too bothered by his kids missing for long periods of time (no one has come looking for me).

So...I assumed he saw his children as workhorses and didn't really value their potential much (is that too cynical?), and I gave my character the name Durf. I was a little more blunt in my first character name in my signature, but I scaled back from that one :)
