There really isn't. People just have an aversion to a middle aged couple showing affection. If you're not in your 20's and early on in a relationship then, it seems, your affection for each other should not be shared because... ew. It's not until you're older that it becomes socially acceptable again. And more in the "awww" spectrum. Don't talk about sex though. That's not for older people. Ageism at its finest

I see know reason for old people not to have sex. Even if they have a heart attack on the job....u tell me a better way to go and I'll call u a liar

Plus, it's sweet at any age.

Edit: holding hands and cuddling is sweet at any age. I was at a friend's apartment when typing this post and he got angry that I was texting rather than watching the film.

Showing affection is great. If more people did it this world would be a little less messed up

I would hate that heart attack... I'd end up spending the rest of my days feelings like a murderer! Plus the thought of a guy dying in bed with me is creepy!

I used to say that. I was only counting the decades so I wouldn't feel old. But after learning I'm around average age here in the AT forums, I'm OK with expressing my age in years. Everywhere else I only count the decades... though, I'm thinking it might be better if I go by Martian years instead. At least then I'd still be an adult.
