just for kicks, since i'm always changing my theme for a "new feel"...
and because everyone is asking for something to read...

BAM!

this is not my favorite, but i just finished tweaking this one.
(so this is the first one i am posting)

i usually use three screens, but im cutting back on widgets for more battery power this week.
i will post something fuller & more colorful soon...

(with an AMOLED screen black pixles are considered "off")
so the darkness has yet another bonus.

and im considering hiding the notification bar,
only to be shown when two finger swiping down...
[a launcher feature]

Samsung Galaxy Nexus (Verizon)

I finally tried flashing a custom ROM a few months ago, when I was having trouble getting the 4.2.2 update and went with the mostly stock Shiny ROM with WillyJay All-in-one mod, and ICS Blue neXus softkey theme. This is just my main screen, I have it set to 5 total (games are on a separate screen, and one is just blank for enjoying whatever wallpaper I have).

Pixel Fleet Live Wallpaper
DCIkonZ
Nova Launcher Prime
HD Widgets
Weather Bug Elite
Battery Widget

EPIC FIRST RESPONSE!!!

i almost got a Nexus, and i might get one next - for the pure Android XP...
i also almost got the Galaxy Note, but with kids - i wanted something pocketable.

is the blank screen (wallpaper enjoyment) your "home / default" screen?

i'm only using launchers about 33% of the time,
Nova's reviews are amazing - you'd recommend it too i suppose?

i was trying to help an old Dev resurrect his original launcher back to jellybean,
[by purchasing & reviewing 5 stars to his work]
i will to try the other stuff - but wanted some solid feedback / that wasn't just from noobish normal people.

i also plan on rooting in the next few months,
but want to have time to set aside to study up...
especially since the device i use added a nice wall to climb when i updated to 4.1.2 [premium suite]

No the screen I included is the default. The blank one is 2 swipes away.
Nova Launcher is great, especially the extra gestures but you have to get Prime for that (I felt it was worth it). But it's basically like the stock launcher with extras, so if you like stock go for it.

Not sure if you can still get it, but there was a trick to get Next Launcher 3D for free:

wow, thanks mino!

:D

i'm gonna check that out - it sounds perfect.
[can't wait to root again - or try a real nexus]

i play with this stuff so much, even as much as i want to play games...
i seem to spend more actual money on things that will "enhance my devices function".

right on!

c'mon Brent, where's the FIRE when i expect it?

I know what you mean. As much time as I spend on my games, I've also spent a lot of time getting my phone set up just how I like it, and then making tweaks here and there, or reading about a new icon pack, widget, wallpaper, etc and then trying it out. If I include Paypal donations to some of the developers, I'd say I've spent more on things to customize my phone too, than on games but it's a close call.

Galaxy Note II
Unrooted

I have 5 screens, 6 if i have the stylus out or headphones plugged in. (Very cool feature BTW)

Haven't been able to figure out how to do a screenshot on this thing yet. I'll look into it and see what i can find, there has got to be some sort of trick to this.

My back round picture is me spinning my firestaff.

This phone is fantastic and has a huge screen, most of my friend's phone can fit on top of it within the screen area with space to spare. lol Andor's Trail looks fantastic on this phone and is very easy to see. =)

Keep posting apps!!! This thread is helping me think of new ways to set up my phone.

If you have Android 4.0 or above, the screen shot should just be pressing power+volume down.

this is not always true. On the Galaxy Tab2, this does not work. Instead there is a soft key that is used.

That one doesn't work on my phone. I'm going to keep looking around to see if i can find out how to do this from my phone.
