Kettlebells have been my go to for a few years now. 10 minutes of swings with a 25kg bell, alternating hands, is a hell of a workout. Add to that some get-ups and you've pretty much taken care of your entire body. And it's funny you should say that we train wiser as we get older. I got into kettlebells for that exact reason: a more comprehensive workout within a shorter period of time.

My kettlebell teacher is just a font of knowledge and understanding. He's really pushing the workout at the Salle since it's such a good all round workout.
I uses kettlebells for everything from benching and squatting love it awesome for a well rounded workout. I make sure all my trainers know how to instruct correct form and I have pairs of up to 54kg in all my gyms.

Nothing worst then bad form makes me cringe in sympathy :D

Its really not their fault though I blame the smucks who have trained them.
Even when visiting a gym out of my region due to comps and the like I can't help correct people and give a spot when the occasion occurs. Plus I slip them my card and offer email and over the phone consultations and free trains if they find themselves at my base gym.
Word of mouth is gold in the gym world :D

On another side I've finally been given the clear to work out myself provided I keep it light and do only upper body. With only certain movements any seated or lying exercise are fine just no standing.
At this stage I'll take anything to stop the pudge

You're bang on about the schmucks training people. With no thought or regard to good movement or safety, they hang a shingle and think they're pro's.

Good on you for being the beacon of light where ever you go. The world needs more good movement gurus :) And no doubt it builds your business.

Congrats on being able to get back in. It's nice to get that clearance to at least start :D I feel your pudge-pain "The pudge is strong with this one"

Me to. I had a huge grin on my face yesterday for my whole train. I reckon a few of the members at my gym thought I was either bonkers or special needs

A franchise gym in nz offers a 3 week train course open to anyone to become a personal trainer.. The pay you to take it. I've seen kids 16 years old walking around in their pt shirts that look like normal kids overweight or skinny.
My father once told me if you want to be a pt your build should reflect your skill set. Either be ridiculously huge or so ripped bending over will cause you to tear something :D

I just don't want people to hurt themselves at the end of the day we go to the gym to better ourselves not end up in worst shape then when we started.

Pudge pain is awful although now my diet is back on track and I'm spending at least 2 hours a day working my core I should have a 6 pack back by next week. I'll throw in a few grey area "supplements" to help out if needed.
