New phone.

Hey. So latest news: I have a new phone, thus updated my Android version data on my profile. My old phone now has a section of the screen that doesn't register my touch. I'm attempting to get everything onto my new phone which is running Android 6.0 (my old phone was 4.4). I wish my new phone had all the same features as my old phone. I hate the way my new phone makes me set my alarm... I have yet to decipher the method for setting am or pm. My new phone also has a smaller screen. :( I have no idea how to shut off certain features so they won't drain the battery. So all in all, everything is pretty much normal: my tech drives me nuts and I can't find anything else that's new in the test version because of it.

Only way to really turn things off is to install a custom ROM without all the google apps you don't use (only the ones you do use), install some super user package (eg. supersu) to root, and then use apps like greenify and autostarts to prevent others from sucking all your batteries. I still get almost 3 days with moderate use (mostly texting, reading news, listening to music) on my 2 years old Galaxy S5.

I buy my phones from Google, so bare bones Android, and I don't think it's the Google apps that suck power. It's all the other garbage that Samsung, etc, put on there.

Thanks Zuke. :D
My new phone is not quite as loaded with useless apps as my previous phone. The features I was talking about are ones I only want active when I'm using them, such as my WiFi (though that's the only one I've figured out how to turn on and off so far).
