My 7th character just got his first RoLS after killing 291 trainers and 241 masters and looting 130 rocks.
I now have a total of 12. I had no interest in gaining one until Nyktos looted his 11th and thus tied me. I was going to be perfectly content with using 2 polished rings of backstabbing.

Still nothing. I've started seeing Shadow Gargoyle Trainers in my sleep. Over 3300 registered kills so far (including masters) but that doesn't count all the time I spent using the save/reload technique.
