Perishables could be an idea, example:

Milk goes off after a certain amount of time, adding elements to quests like securing a bed in prim (he won't except cheese ). This could be used in other ways too, like an urgent message that has to be delivered in a set time. Maybe a bad idea, but has the potential to add another dimension to quests.

That would be a fun idea for a quest.

Maybe something like your helping out a team of potion makers and you have to take the potion from one potion maker to the other before the potion goes bad. You'd have to get there before XX amount of steps.

Exactly, a lot of people enjoy AT Decathlon, this will incorporate into the game.

Maybe the potion makers could be making a hybrid verson of the BMP.

Ingredients:
1 Bonemeal Potion
2 Potion of Focused Accuracy

After going back and forth a few time he would give you 3 Bonemeal Accuracy Potions

BMAP:
Heals for 35 hp
and
has a 25% chance to cause 5 rounds (Focused Accuracy x2)
has a 25% Change to cause 5 rounds (Intoxicated X2)

I'm a huge fan of hybrid potions... we have so many items, empty bottles and potions to play with... tying in with a quest where you have to get it there in X amount of time before your ingredients spoil is a cool idea too... I also feel if crafting such potions may be implemented, they should be made to order each time you want them, and expensive as well... I've seen other posts about wanting something to spend gold on and I think awesome potions would be a great start...
