Duel welding BSS has served me quite well. My first Character maxed out the duel wield fighting style, duel wield specialisation and One handed proficiency. I now have a 21-58 AD (and get in 4 attacks) on that character while equipped with two BSS. If I swap out to duel wield 2 x Rapier of Lifesteal, AD comes in at 17-56 (and get in 3 attacks).

My second chapter favoured the two handed specialisation, proficiency and fighting style. Equipped with Xul'vir puts the AD at 23-75 (and get in 2 attacks).

After playing so much, I find I prefer and AD stacked character over a Critical character. Your battles become more consistent. Also, once you push your level high enough (and bring up your AC and AD high enough) you'll find that you need to heal drops. This makes using the RoL less a requirement and you can survive on just Shadow Regeneration of RoLS (or corpse eater).

Just keep grinding and push your characters level up as high as possible. My level 209 character no longer requires healing or regeneration or Lifesteal - he's untouchable.

The Rapier of Lifesteal would be my favorite weapon by far.

Here is why:

1) It's one handed so you could use it with a shield, or even use 2 at once (yes the life gaining abilities do stack)

2) Common... it's a FLAMING SWORD.

It's only downfall:
It's a pain in the rear to get!

I personally use Iron flails. Because with cs 2, I get 2 hits with it. Damage given is=12-28*2= nearly 24-56 damage per round.
Pros-: If we compare it with BSS, then the point will be that during fighting enemies with high dr, less damage is dealt. So, its good to do it in minimum hits.

Cons-: very low ac compared to BCC. Only 8! Where as BCC has nearly 32.
You can see my condition. I have 213 total attack chance out of which 160 is without equipments. Too low, I know. I am at lvl 38.😑
