question re# Items available without questing.

Hello helpful folk.

As I am easily bored, I'm making a "lvl 1" character.

No faction quests (shadow/thieves/feygaurd), no lvling up.

So I have the Jof already, and iron shortsword - I'm saving to get 2x Villain rings to get my dam and ac up.

Now, my question is:

What are some excellent items can I get that also up my stats and dam without doing a faction quest? Side quests will be fine - just not ones that make me pick a side

Well... I can help you with that.

I am one of the 2 players who originally tried the "Level One Challenge" a long time ago.

We both were posting on this thread (Link: http://andorstrail.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... enge#p8236) as we went along, the thread should have some ideas for gear too.

The most useful piece of advice i can give you is to SAVE SAVE SAVE!!!

We were trying to do all the quests so it does have items that you won't be able to get, but there are a lot that are extremely useful that don't need to be unlocked.

Like the Cowards Boots and Villain's Armor which both lower your move cost by 1 each (Hit and run tactics are you friend!)

While attempting something similar I found the GoLF to be almost a necessity. The +9 HP boost makes a huge difference when running a pure Level 1 hero.

Yeah the GOLF really is a must have when trying to take on the world at low levels.

The GOLF was the gloves i was usually wearing (Except for a few strange occasions when i was looking to get a better crit with the Troublemaker's Gloves)
