@ace, I also like 4th font best. First is too retro IMHO, and second is just as retro as needed, but for a futuristic theme (Terminator for example).
For the background, you can try composing on the theme of the 4 seasons, using BWM, Crossglen, Green maze and deep cave under Charwood.

For image upload, I'll check.

Edit: you can upload images up to 10MB, with the extensions gif, jpeg, jpg, png, tga, tif, tiff

Looks like some problem on my end.

Try downloading my photo and then uploading it again. That will rule out any image format problems.

Tried uploading images.
Look at jpg and JPG, should it make any difference?

I don't think that should matter. Try renaming my photo to .jpg

I don't know where to place the logo and text because this image looks good as it is.

But here is one exemplary image with logo and text

The shield would show better within the winter scene instead of centered on the overall image. "Andor's Trail" could be written across the two right-hand scenes in a contrasting font (red with white borders?).

I liked your idea and tried it. But that shield logo kinda hides the beauty of cover image so I removed that.

I'd suggest using the following map for the fourth section (right one): http://andorstrail.irkalla.cz/0.7.0/map ... html#south

The red for the text is too bright, try toning down the saturation of the color (in HSV colors pace).

I also think the text outline could look better, but I just can't tell how now...
