New Items
Just wondering if anyone else has found any of the new items super useful. I noticed that the robe of the sublimate is rather broken against certain enemies:
and knowing that sometime in the future we may be getting , I am concerned that it would make the area too easy.
Why is it broken?
Has anyone else found anything like this? I think these monsters should be changed to have 9AP so that this can't happen to them from other future things either, or change it so that is a player or monster is completely unable to act during their turn, 50% of their AP is banked for their next turn or something, though obviously this would take a lot more work.
Why is it broken?
I have too many characters to list them, so I'll just list my most important:

Re: New Items
Kayla's items were meant to open new strategies, but to be honest, I counted on the community to come up with these clever possibilities. I didn't (nor did I wanted to).
That's a nice find anyway.
If it turns out to be too overpowered, we'll obviously have to nerf it sometime.

Re: New Items
Haven't tried the robe. But the feline gloves and boots rock.

Re: New Items
I love the feline gloves and boots for opening up the "unarmored" specialization. I will also say that I think the guynmart shield is solidly better than the BD for any practical purposes. I still haven't gotten around to getting my "use an item" AP cost down to -1 (robe of sublimate +feline gloves +potion of deftness +lodars potion of haste) to see if I can drink milk to restore AP for an infinite turn. Oh, and getting the runaway cost down to 2? Works really well with evasion skill maxed for areas like the hirathils.
Those are my thoughts so far.

Re: New Items
You are a very technical player. Like me . Most players do not analyze the options so carefully.
There are 36 monsters with AP equal to attack cost. They will all have their attack cost reduced by 1, which will change nothing except that you will not be able to use the robe to freeze them. Thanks for pointing this out.

Re: New Items
You cannot have a negative cost. It can be zero, but not negative.

Re: New Items
I most certainly am. In fact, I've barely touched AT in 3 years, but I still have all my strategy notes and plans for 8 of my 9 heroes (Tek is too overpowered to care about strategy).rijackson741 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 21, 2018 1:31 pm You are a very technical player. I too am considering creating a new hero for these feline items. I'm thinking "Spirit" as that was my cat who just passed away last month name.

First 10 level-ups went to AD, then the next 10 went to AC, next 9 will go to BC.
It's really nice having item use at 3 AP!!

Re: New Items
Yeah. Especially with attack cost also at 3. If you get beaten up you can quaff a healing potion, and still get two or three (depending on CS) strikes.
You are playing with the spiked buckler? I didn't expect anyone to actually use that.

yeah. Why not. It is a decent shield for the places that I'm at. Plus, it looks cool.rijackson741 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 21, 2019 11:12 pm You are playing with the spiked buckler? I didn't expect anyone to actually use that.
