Why are conditions labeled here in the forum as "Actor" (N: someone who plays a role) and not as "active" (ADJ: something ongoing or presently engaged in)?

Just seems strange to call bleeding (or any other malady or benefit) an "Actor condition". It shows up this way many times in the Legendary /Extraordinary drops thread.

Just wondering the logic on the word choice.

I think it's simply the fact that the condition is on the actor. The actor being the hero.

Well, sometimes it's on the monster, but I guess the monster could be considered an actor too :?

My guess is that in the code, the general class is called Actor, then declined between Player and Monster (including NPCs), so when Oskar added the actor conditions, it applied to Actors (i.e. Not specific to Player or Monster), thus Actor Conditions.

Sounds logical. So a good name from a coding standpoint, but not from a user standpoint. Fortunately, in the game it says "Active conditions". On the forums, we have used "Actor conditions" for so long we can't really change it now.
