I'll use this grinding spot later, I'm still at the rank where I have to watch if my health needs replenishing ;)
Sorry, didn't mean to rub it in - I'm sure you'll get there. And once it drops it'll be even sweeter!

For drop chance calculation I also found this old engadget article, at the very bottom of the piece is a javascript calculator where you can just enter your number of runs and have your total drop chance be displayed. My Rapier dropped with less than 6% chance :?

For the zombie fight if you're still have to watch your HP just know that the initial fight is a lot tougher than the grinding afterwards (because you're fighting ~20 zombies more or less in one fight). Put on your high BC% items, eat some food for additional reg, maybe a minor courage potion (very easy to get from green maze farming). For me using the new Guynmart shield with the bark skin proc also worked well.

Hope you get your ring soon, happy farming!

I've found that the zombies don't spawn fast enough for me. Not really efficient for farming XP, imo.

Helpful info! Thanks for posting.. was en route to Remgard, but then saw your post & thought even tho I'm only level 34, I'm gonna tackle it and see what happens! (likely will Get tackled in a giant pile-up leading to my early demise)

Microscopic correction for #5 in the steps..
Re which 'brew' is req'd to loosen Hagale's frothy lips..it's the 'special' brew (as opposed to rat poison) and crazy expensive -- esp for 2 bottles! :o
Btw, you should get at least 1,000 EXP for drinking that stuff!
Hmm...or mebe Lose a thou.. ;)
Edit/Addendumb:
Apparently, level 34 is not quite up 2 snuff.. or only up 4 getting snuffed -- in short order, no less :o
Took a few tries/reloads just to get past the 'guard' guy, and then it seems you can't flee back out of the graveyard, i.e, to safer ground.. yeah, I tried standing right at the edge of the entryway with expectation of being able to get a few licks in..even kill 1 or 2, then flee back out, especially since I noted they don't follow you out of the graveyard.

Guess it's possible (or maybe not considering how quickly they rush towards ya!) to zip straight to some relatively safe spot inside the graveyard..where only 1~2 could attack at a time.. but I'll leave off until I'm up to level 44, if not higher..and work on developing my Evasion skills! Oh, and my block.. and crits, etc. And get another 30+ HP!
Addendumber:
Okay -- just looked at the graveyard map and immediately see where you could quickly/easily zip to in order to only have to fight 1 mob at a time..upper right just a few paces from entryway..just back down that 'alley' & turn around

Of course, then you're pretty well stuck there until you kill a dozen or two..
Now where to grind...to prep for grinding at this rough'n'tumble graveyard..?? :?

The graveyard is very hard. It was really designed for those that had done everything else.

Yes to high BC (250 might be adequate) & beaucoup potions.
Back to the Remgard road.. then may try the graveyard again round level 42. Should last more than milliseconds at that point.

Is there a complete list of quests/areas according to overall difficulty = level needed?
I've searched the forums but only found bits & pieces or partial lists, thanks.

There is no such list, and I am not inclined to create one. It is too subjective. In some cases there is a guard that stops you going somewhere. If you can't defeat the guard, or even have a very hard time doing so, that's a hint that maybe you should be somewhere else. In other cases you just have to learn the hard way.
