Young Merchant quest. Mismatched dialogue?

Just encountered something odd.
I`ve progresses the young merchant quest all the way to the point where you get

your stolen stuff back

.
I have 9 entries in my quest log which reflect that correctly.
In the next tavern (10th one) it seemed that he repeated the conversation of our first encounter when he

sets off to get his fathers cart to become a trader

.
No new entry was generated. The last one is still refering to

me getting my stolen stuff back

.

Is it an error/bug that the first conversation repeats itself at that point?
