Hmm...that has not been agreed to internally. So don't hold your breath while you wait.

Now once you tap "andors-trail" folder, you can now see your savegame file/s (i.e savegame1, savegame2, and so on). You must determine of which save slot "Joop" is. If Joop is saved on slot1, then delete "savegame1". Else, if Joop is saved on slot2, then delete "savegame2"...and so on.
Well, that didnt work. ;)

I first removed AT, then removed above folder, which still had the files. Then went searching in /data, but no AT files there.
Reinstalled AT.
Suprise: Joop is still there.
So I made a permadeath Jan. Died with 12 exp, 14 gold. ;)
checked andors-trail folder. Hey its not there but that is strange. Where does it store dead Jan?
deleted AT (also 4,87 Mb data)
checked andors-trail and /android/data folder. It was still not there (duh).
reboot.
And you know what? Joop is there again. :!:

now I am more then suprised. ;)

AT Team: "Ok tap on My Files."
Random member: "I can't see your files."
AT Team: "No no tap on My Files on your phone."
Random member: "How can I tap on your phone from my phone?"
AT Team: "There is an icon labelled 'My Files' on your phone, tap it."
Random member: "What the?! What is your files doing on my phone?"
AT Team: "Tap on your phone."
Random member: "Which icon do I have to tap?"
AT Team: "My Files!"
Random member: "Tell me where do you live, I go to your house to tap on your phone."
AT Team: "What the?!"

Create a new _permadeath_ hero and save it to the unwanted slot. Load it again, and then _without saving_ load another savegame.
You didn't try this, did you?

I have actually been there, many years ago. A customer phoned in with a problem. This was back in the days of DOS command line. It went something like this (not exact, too long ago to remember exactly).

Customer: The software has a problem (I forget what, but it doesn't matter)
Me: Exit the software by going to the File menu, and choosing exit.
Customer: OK.
Me You should now see the DOS command prompt.
Customer: Yes.
Me: What does it say?
Customer: C:\FIRST
Me: OK. type cd \.
Customer: OK.
Me: what does the prompt now say?
Customer: C:\FIRST
Me, thinking: Huh?
Me: Type DIR. What does it say?
Customer: It doesn't say anything.
Me thinking: WTF?
Me: Type CD .. What does the prompt say?
Customer: C:\FIRST
Me, thinking: this is not possible.
Elapsed time, with much more of this..................
Me: Type CD \ again
Customer: I can type it, but it does not show on the screen when I type the keys.
Me thinking: dawning realization. DOS had a limit of 128 characters on a command line. The customer never hit the Enter key!

That is a real story. Sounds absurd today, but put it in the context of the time. People had not grown up with computers everywhere. What we take for granted as something everyone knows was not something that everyone knew in 1990.

We also had a customer that kept losing the data on their backup floppy disks (the 5 1/4 inch kind). We couldn't figure out why, so one day when the local sales rep was in town they stopped by to investigate. Well, storing such disks on the side of a steel filing cabinet using magnets was not the best idea :D

That's not what I said:

It is very unfortunate that f-droid is not supported anymore!
Although google play has many more users, i think f-droid should not be underestimated.
Because it has much less apps andors trail is way more present on f-droid than on google play.
For example i discovered it though f-droid.
Also the users are tendential more open-source appreciative and techies so they should have a bigger overlap with the AT community.

Could a own f-droid repo be a solution by still being able to use the older software?
It would also resolve the issue with apps from different sources have different signatures
