Here are some of the sprites that I think can/could be use in the game, 32x32 (mostly)

Along with some 64x32 and 64x64 trees and some boss ideas like:

The worm is really good. I'm already thinking about where I could use that in a project I'm working on :)

These are very nice. To be usable the 64x64 trees need to be split into four separate 32x32 sprites though. The reason for that is that the pieces go into different layers on the map. You can walk behind the tops of trees, but not the bottoms. So the tops are in a layer above the player, the bottoms are in a layer below the player (and are also marked as not walkable, so you can't step onto them). This is only an issue for the sprites that would be used in maps. A 64x64 monster sprite can stay as it is.

Actually, forget that. They don't need to be broken up. We do need to add them to spritesheets though.
