As it's name implies, RoFLS is a downgrade, not an upgrade.

Does this work even if you have already finished the Guy art quest?

HAHAHA, You are hillarous. I did go to Guy art castle to check the stats on the ring, but I didn't save it. I'll go back and try again. Multiple saves is a must.
