Finally got Cleave level 1, and I'm loving it so far. I'm still using it with the DotSP so I get at total of 5 attacks against 2 at a time, and 6 against 3 at a time - which worked great on those 3 Iqhan warriors by that fence.
I can't imagine going for more than level 2 though, since that would be enough to cover the dagger, and also the ElyR (currently, I can get 4 hits with level 1 of Cleave against 2 at a time, but I'd get 6 total with level 2).
But before that, I want to get up to level 10 of QL (2 more to go) and maybe hit the max level (4) of Evasion so I can get first hit more often.

Lol, oh, yeah, I thought I had put "depending on your build" ... But in the same vein, how often does a mob actually land an attack on you? I'm starting to work on a fix for this, which I hope will make the game more interesting, especially for higher level players such a yourself... Have it more out less set up in my head, just haven't had the time to sit down and write the code, much less figure out which subroutine it needs to be inserted into... work has been busy, now that I finally have a laptop I can use...

I get hit first about half the time, some of those Iqhan guys are fast and just rush me.

The AC vs BC code is perfect the way it is. The math equation Samuel suggested last year is perfect.

I agree, and that is not what I was looking at changing, more along the lines of an automatically increasing difficulty level, possibly with basic easy/normal/hard settings in menu, as put forth in the easy mode topic a few weeks ago:

I think there should be a cleavage skill. It reduces opponent APs of male opponents due to distraction.

I was running for cover, expecting fireworks after reading the cleavage post.....

But..........to my surprise lady black has a sense of humor. Please note that it's not a personal observation on her, it's just that nowadays our society is always too quick to flash the Sexist/Racist/Nationalist/I'm offended/et al cards.
I was raised in Venezuela, and my upbringing gives me an outsider's view of "Americana".
(Over there) Racism is almost non-existent. On the other hand "classism" is pervasive and ubiquitous. But I digress....
What I'm trying to say is that, in general, I've notice this strange phenomenon in which people are offended at the drop of the hat (methinks that's the proper phrase). Living abroad, my image of Americans was that of a strong, no-nonsense people. But lately, not so much. I reckon its a result of what they call the "participation-trophy" generation (see Adam Carolla's rant for further clarification).

The only thing about any of this that offended me was that I felt obliged to refer to the "gender" of the monsters. As I have said before, I worked in biological research all my life, and vertebrate animals and many seed-bearing plants belong to the male or female sex, not gender! Gender is a grammatical concept, not a biological one, and I consider the reason that it is now politically correct to misuse both words to be specious.
(Yes, many seed-bearing plants have both the male and female reproductive parts on the same plant, either in the same flower or in two separate flower types; but many other species have separate male and female plants.)

Thread Drift
some very interesting posts here - but...
let's swing things back to Cleave.
i said in the past...
"cleave is a great skill in my eyes, just dont take it too early."
Like Pyrizzle & Mino - I recently started over (f.a.q. & other reasons)
I'm wondering how early should I take it?
Twelve levels is a lot!
I'm 18 now & have: IF1, Regeneration 1, CE1 & BS1 in that order...
Now its between MC or a prequisite for Cleave.
Not too sure yet - so I keep reading & pondering.

Although - I also plan on bumping up CE & BS one more time each before 4o...
Hmmm...
