"Dodgy bonemeal potion", has a warning label, "consume with care", heals 40 HP, but if you consume it during battle (i.e. not with care) you have a 25% chance of choking on a bone and your AP not resetting the next two turns. Upon coughing up the bone two turns later it goes into your inventory.

If consumed outside of battle (i.e. with care) you just gain the chance of getting a bone 25% of the time.

This would mean you shouldn't use them in battle, but outside of battle using them is fine. And of course, as with most underground black market dealings they come at a premium bargain price of 102 gold each.

this sounds like what Oskar was asking for,
(see prior meeting post)
nice potions with nasty side effects!

+1!

Lol, I love where the dicussion is going :)

Keep in mind though, that all use and posession of Bonemeal potions is prohibited by our lord and saviour, Lord Geomyr, grand champion of Feygard.

Maybe the Feygard patrol should perform random cavity searches when you talk to one. Maybe even when you attempt to walk by one.
I say this because everybody talks about it being illegal but nobody is doing anything about it.

It would be nice to have a quest about convincing shadow priests to start making bonemeal potions. They hesitate when you first ask them, but in the course of the game they start to rebel against the new laws. You have to smuggle the receipe an some ingredients when you encounter a Feygard Guard...
