I noticed you listed Combat Speed +1, so when you reach level 40, I suggest using your next skill point on Combat Speed level 2. Having 12 AP will help a lot more, because there's weapons with 4 AP attack cost, so you can get an extra hit. Also, if you buy the Jewel of Fallhaven (sold in the town it's named for) you can reduce the attack cost of any weapon by 1 AP, so a 4 AP cost weapon becomes 3, and with Combat Speed 2 you can get 4 tries in each attack turn.

It seems as though you never really focused on developing a specific style for your character, and as a result, spread your abilities thin :/

Like the guys said, you priorty now is to equip yourself well. If you were 20 levels lower, I'd simply suggest starting over (which still may be a good idea,) though you do still have plenty of room to mold your current guy... It just takes longer and longer to level up...

I've noticed that damage resistence also helps a lot with the spiders. Where I was previously sometimes getting killed they now hardly damage me at all. Only dangerous opponents in that area are now those that stun (and that's minor as I just change weapons).

My other character who is at about lvl 60 and is Quickstrike Dagger focussed also has little problem with them. He has less DR, but between regeneration and corpse eater he does pretty well.

Just checked, unless getting a critical hit, they only seem to deal 7 max, which is not impressive versus my DR: 7.

I don't think a level 100+ build should be an indicator of the game being hard enough ;). I mean, the spiders are like a stroll in the park at this point. I rarely die and only when I'm taking risks. If I just drink some potions when I get to low HP there's really no way anything in the game in its current state can realistically kill me. Of course I can still get stronger and will to ensure grinding goes faster, doing 1 hit kills in the spider area seems like it'll save some time for example.

I have 12AP now with the Jewel and having 4 strikes definitely does help, I'm level 53 now and have completed everything available in the game so far, the spiders are annoying because of the spells they put on me but I can get through them after so long bashing the screen

I'm just mildly annoyed that although I have a few good weapons they all have curses on them that makes them useless, all the blackwater items and the shadowfang

Then the shadow of the slayer is good but 7AP is too much to make it viable for the amount of damage it deals

I don't understand why the quests give such little XP aswell, I can get more XP in a few seconds by killing a few trolls

That also annoyed me a bit. The quests should gain a bit more XP imho
